AI Writing Tools 2026! Suggest new ones

I’m starting this thread because it feels like new AI writing tools are popping up literally every month, and it’s hard to keep track of what’s actually useful anymore. Most of the lists I find online are outdated already, or they just keep mentioning the same big names over and over again.

I’m especially curious about new or lesser-known AI writing tools for 2026 — stuff that people are actually using right now for essays, articles, coursework writing, or even just brainstorming ideas. Doesn’t have to be perfect or super advanced, just something that really helps in real situations.

If you’ve tried any new tools recently (even if they’re a bit buggy or unknown), please share your experience. What do you use it for? Is it worth the time, or is it overhyped?

Would be great to hear honest opinions, not promo stuff. Thanks in advance!
 
I feel like half of the “new” tools are just rebranded versions of the same thing. Different UI, same output. Still hoping to find something actually fresh in 2026.
 
I’ve noticed newer tools are getting better with citations, but you still need to check everything manually. One wrong source and the whole paper looks sus.
