How will you critique an element of a poem which is the persona? I dont know how to start and what to write about. Will I write about the author? (the poem is on the necessity of sadness by Mikael De Lara Co.

Remember that a persona is the aspect of someone’s character that is presented to or perceived by others, or a role or character adopted by an author or an actor. So basically, you need to write about how the writer has inserted himself in the poem. You could mention his personal life details/philosophy/mentality.
