I have difficulties with writing a persuasive essay because I don’t know how to approach them. In the introduction should I elaborate on the topics I discuss, or would that be for the body paragraphs? Also does each body paragraph require 3 points based on the main idea?

In the introduction, you only give a general impression of your main topic, providing some background information and a thesis statement. In the body paragraphs you will elaborate on your main topic and main point of contention. Each body paragraph is focused on one aspect of the main topic.
