I dont know how to write my gap year essay and I am applying early decision .

Did you talk to your teacher about it or your educational institution about it? If not, please do so. There could many requirements, but this essay would seem like either a narrative essay or a descriptive essay. Regularly write a diary of your gap year so that you have notes on what you can write about.
