Quality of Help 27/50 ⭐⭐: Does Typli Provide You With Best Ideas? 

The first must-have point for expert evaluation is the quality of help. We have established the quality of Typli’s assistance in comparison with other essay topic finders. First thing we need to highlight here for the sake of the Typli AI review is topic form. Typli really stands out from the crowd of competitors thanks to its generation results: you get not only the list of topics, but a short elaboration on central statements and coverage angle. 

Of course, we have already established that Typli does not use the handmade database of academic essay topics, and this extended elaboration is most likely just generated by GPT; still, it is a valuable feature nevertheless.

The next valuable advantage is that topics follow basic academic formatting guidelines and are ready to be used in your papers. It is important that you don’t need to rethink or polish the topic; you can just take it and start writing your college essay. Maybe it sounds like an obvious point, but you will be surprised how many generators return raw results.

To test the quality of help, we tried two separate prompts: the first query was a basic topic idea (in our case, “Social Media”), and the second query was a raw text line of the separate ideas (“essay about Donald Trump Republican Party policy intersection”). We aimed to test the tool’s ability to provide creative suggestions for basic requests as well as composite ones.

We must admit that Typli returned decent results for both of our queries. However, the proposed topics were generic, GPT-inspired, and formatted in the classic GPT format, so Typli only got 27/50.

Value for Money 10/30 ⭐: Is Typli AI Worth It? 

In the modern market, every customer respects their money because there are a lot of competitors that can provide the same services for better prices. So, what Typli can offer and how much does it cost? 

You can use Typli for free, but only for a 1000-word limit. A thousand words may sound like a decent amount, but thanks to the extended GPT elaboration for each essay topic, Typli will spend your limit on two requests. After these two requests, you must upgrade your subscription to a premium level. 

Let’s be entirely honest: AI topic finder is a simple tool you probably want to use once or twice and forget about. Several essay generators allow you to use its functionality without such limitations or offer something like 10+ free requests, which is more than enough for an average user. Hence, we classify Typli’s strict limitations as an undeniable major flaw: combined with poor optimization and the absence of the academic topic database, the service gets only 10 out of 30 in the “value for money” criteria. 

Overall Experience 15/20 ⭐⭐: Should You Try Typli? 

The last criteria represent the user experience. Here, for the sake of our independent Typli review, we rate how easy it is to use the service, its general convenience and usability, and how inspiring or frustrating your try could be. Typli is relatively easy to use; it has an intuitive interface and can act as your topic-finder assistant without a doubt. 

You can even utilize it without the registration to generate two ideas for college essays. However, there is a significant issue: you can’t copy or export the topics in a suitable format, which can be inconvenient for many users. The following limitation is that there are only ten topics per generation, which can be a restriction for users looking for a random inspirational spark. Overall, Typli gets 15/20 for user experience. 

The Verdict: Typli Essay Topic Generation

Typli is definitely not one of the best online topic finders: it has significant limitations, doubtful design decisions, and non-competitive pricing model. When you choose essay topic generation, you mostly value usability, no-registration free access, ideas versatility, and overall convenience. Typli lacks in almost all of these things. 

For starters, you can use the tool only twice to generate content ideas for free. After the second request, you must complete registration and (even worse!) buy the premium access. It is just a bit of a strict limitation for such a tool as Essay Topic Finder. 

The next problem for Typli is its topic feed. The service does not have a handmade database; it seems that it just uses a slightly customized ChatGPT API for generation. Furthermore, the service offers you only ten topics for one generation request, and even these topics feel incredibly generic. Offered subjects are even formatted in a well-known GPT format: Typli always returns something like “Social Media: Enhancing and Unraveling the Crucial Aspects of the Digital Revolution” (if you know what we mean). 

The last significant issue with Typli is its lack of convenience. You can’t export the generated topics or continue to write with integrated AI essay writers. Yes, Typli has some pretty decent design ideas, such as detailed elaboration on each idea, but these small things can’t justify using Typli in a world full of far more optimized and user-friendly competitors. 

Typli gets a 52/100 AHelp score since it wasn’t anything special. It seems to be that type of tool that you save to use for later… and never actually do.
