During AcademicHelp’s mystery shopping, we tried both of their spell-checking services. Grammarly proved to be more helpful in proofreading different texts as it could identify a lot of mistakes. Prowritingaid grammar checker, on the other hand, wasn’t as proactive leaving a lot of issues unnoticed.

The main difference between ProWritingAid and Grammarly is the quality of provided grammar correction. Prowritingaid wasn’t able to recognize the bigger part of the mistakes in all the texts and only corrected a few spelling issues. Grammarly spell check tool, on the contrary, improved the general readability of our texts by providing sound suggestions for grammatical, punctuation, and word use errors.
