William Brown
Chief Editor of the SIA

Dear William,

I am writing this letter to inform you that I have made a decision to leave my position as a Newsmaker at SIA. My last day of employment will be April 4th, 2013.

I would like to thank all the team, and all the people I have been working with during the last two years. Performing Newsmaker duties contributed substantially to my development as a professional; I achieved new skills and made interesting acquaintances. I learned a lot more about writing, making material vivid and interesting, and submitting information operatively. I also learned about communicating with press services and interviewing. And I appreciate the relationship between me and my coworkers; working at SIA was enjoyable and easy due to them.

I ask you to accept this letter of resignation. I can assure you that I will perform my duties conscientiously until my last working day. I would also like to assist you with recruiting and training a replacement for my position to make sure the system functions properly after I leave SIA.

I wish SIA and all the staff the best, and look forward to staying in touch with everyone. Once again, thank you for the opportunity to work at SIA. You can email me anytime at [email protected], or reach me by phone: 555-321-54-65.

Sincerely,

Patrick McDougall
