Students understand that high grades, good scores on standardized tests, and excelling beyond the textbook curriculum are essential components of their college applications. However, admission essays really stand out and have a significant impact on the final evaluation of each candidate.

College admission essays allow universities to gain insight into applicants that may not be evident from other parts of their application. An essay written from the applicant’s perspective reveals the student’s goals and intentions, which is relevant when deciding whether to accept the student.

Schools and colleges may set different requirements for admission essays, which may vary depending on your preferences and profile. If we take the most prominent schools from the top-250 list – essays may take up to 25% of the value of the application. And that makes it the second most important criterion.

How Important is the College Essay?

Among all types of essays, from personal statements to literary analyses, an admission article stands out as one of the most challenging and important. The question posed in the application is what the body of the admission essays heavily depends on. Many universities expect students to tell about their past experiences, both academic and non-academic. Applicants may write about classes or extracurricular activities that contributed much to their growing personalities. Universities generally value students who have established themselves in school and community. This is why it’s important that applicants highlight their strengths when speaking about their ventures and achievements. Universities accept students who are well-rounded and have excelled in a wide variety of areas. Make sure to read Top Regrets from the College Application Process to understand possible pitfalls.

The Selection of the Top Admission Essay Writing Services Options

It’s tough to evaluate the quality of things without testing them. Moreover, it’s essential to compare various options before making the final decision. That’s what our team does when running the mystery shopping program with various essay writing services. We place orders, collect results, and assess them according to our exclusive A*Help rating, which mainly covers three factors: value for money, the overall experience, and paper quality. See How We Test Essay Writing Services for more details about our testing approach.

The scenario includes the requests for two papers: a 2-page essay with a pressing 6-8 hour deadline and a 4-page memo to the CEO with a 7-day estimated execution time. For grading, we send both assignments to our fellow US college professor.

Here is what we asked to write:

Paper ⭐ Personal Essay (2 pages) 💼 Business Memo (4 pages)
🎓 Academic level Undergrad. (yrs. 1-2) Undergrad. (yrs. 3-4)
✅ Paper format MLA Chicago / Turabian

👉 Paper instructions For this assignment, you will be writing a personal narrative–a story–illustrating an event or experience exemplifying gratitude. In other words, share a colorful story about an experience or event for which–either during or after the event– you feel or felt thankful. An example might be writing about your experience as a senior in high school and the teacher who helped you to achieve your goal of graduating and attending college. Another example might be writing a story about your experience growing up in a rural community, acknowledging that it was this small, but mighty, community that made you who you are today, and for this, you are thankful. This assignment should be at least 550 words. Underline your descriptive thesis statement or the point of your story. No outside/secondary sources are needed. See Appendix C – Formatting and Submitting Your Work See Formatting your Essay: MLA 8th Edition You are the Government Relations Director at a Canadian business. Likewise, the memo to the CEO attained remarkable scores in those areas, resulting in 100% and 95%, accordingly.

The writers expressed their ideas distinctly and reached 100% clarity in all assignments. Speaking of reasoning and logic, the fundamental elements of every essay, the memo to the CEO received a higher grade of 97%. In contrast, the essay lost just a bit, leading up to a decent 85%. The structure of the tasks also showed some distinction: the memo’s outline was closer to the general qualifications. Despite a bit of fluidity in following the basics, the performer still understood the composition well. Overall, EssayShark delivered a commendable experience (21/25) and scored mind-blowing 95% for grammar, 99% for spelling, and 91% for logic & reasoning. CustomWritings, a reputable essay writing service, uses its experience, diligence, and consistency to help academically struggling students solve their problems. With such a grand standing, we had no doubts that the service would provide efficient assistance with admission paper writing.

The grades came back as follows: 2-page essay – 93.7/100 pts, memo to the CEO – 80.7/100 pts. Although universities greatly value the content of the essay in the first place, bad spelling and poor grammar always play against the applicant. Inaccurately written essays display a need for more consideration and show the university that the applicants need to invest more effort into their admission essays. It will never be the case with pieces written by CustomWritings.com, as you can conclude from the grades. Spelling and grammar also were marked notably high: 97% and 100% in the essay and 95% and 90% – in the memo to the CEO.

Reasoning and logic, however, need more balance between the two papers. At the same time, the first assignment presents a close-to-the-top result of 89%, and the second is a little behind with 78%.

The overall experience and the value-for-money index satisfied us with top points of 23/25 and 22/25. The platform provided us with open and cooperative writers, communicative support, various payment methods, and a wide range of services to choose from.

We think that CustomWritings provided high-quality writing services for us. Hence we place it in the list of reliable admission writing services.

Studybay.com claims to be a community of enthusiastic geeks who try to improve educational processes. The service covers a variety of fields and types of writing, so clients can expect help writing an admission essay, among other types of academic work.

We received the evaluation of our orders, and the scores were rather similar. The first paper came down to 87.2/100 points, while the second landed at 83.2/100 pts. Grammar and spelling were inches away from perfection. Accordingly, our essay received 96% and 98%, and the memo to the CEO was 95% and 96%.

The reasoning and logic in the two papers also showed sufficient indexes. The essay scored 89%. The memo to the CEO didn’t fall far behind with 83%. The first task’s structure was rather on point, while the second paper could use some compositional upgrades.

What may be a little discouraging for especially selective users is the scope of vocabulary used in our cases. 61% is just above adequate, but it may be difficult with a customized admission essay. You may wonder if the writer demonstrates versatility through varied word choices, rhetorical devices, or literary techniques.

Overall experience (25/25) was jaw-dropping, and the value-for-money ratio (21/25) satisfied us to the same extent. It is always possible to improve, particularly in the vocabulary section, and we are sure that StudyBay will do its utmost to optimize it.

Suppose the deadline for submitting your college application is approaching, but you haven’t even started with your admission statement. In that case, CheapestEssay may come to the rescue. An experienced provider in essay writing, this platform lures customers with affordable prices and quality work for various types of writing, with an admission piece being one of them.

When we got our orders back after the evaluation, the essay was marked 84.5/100 pts and the memo to the CEO – 77.3/100 pts.

The two papers got 91%-100% in spelling and 77%-81% in grammar. Based on the essays’ spelling and grammar scores, the writers can deliver most of their material in an error-free, visually precise, and stylistically accurate manner, which is especially relevant for admission essays.

Reasoning & logic were quite sound on this assignment, with 73% for the essay and 71% for the memo, showing the writer’s ability to maintain a coherent argument. Also, the text structure adhered to basic guidelines.

The platform proved to have a greatly sufficient value-for-money ratio (23/25), giving its customers a varied pool of services to choose from and an impressive discount selection. If it weren’t for the ineffectiveness of customer support and communication with the writer, the overall experience (16/25) would have also been better. As far as the college admission story goes, it requires specific, highly personal, and unique stories from an applicant. That may be challenging to reach through somewhat limited interaction with the writer that CheapestEssay offers. It is still possible to get a quality admission essay written by this platform, provided that the company rethinks some of its methods and approaches to dealing with clients. If you want to learn more about this website, you can read through the Cheapest Essay review and get a more detailed view of its work.

Clients who need assistance with admission essays need a personal approach. GoNerdify delivers both professionalism and efficiency.

Our tasks returned decent scores: 75/100 pts for the essay and 84/100 pts for the memo to the CEO.

The first work received 100% and 73% in spelling and grammar, as follows. The second task had 82% and 93%, accordingly. While the performance of the service on grammar and spelling varies based on the type of essay, the average results are adequate and quite acceptable for admission essays.

In contrast, reasoning and logic, the two other critical elements of a well-written admissions statement, scored at a much lower rate in the first paper, scoring 69%, while in the second paper, cutting 81%. We may question the disparity of these quality metrics in GoNerdify’s papers, so bear this in mind for your orders.

As for the vocabulary, scoring 69% corresponds to somewhat limited word choice and, possibly, monotony in a speech of some writers. This aspect may be a deal breaker if you expect eloquence and rich vocabulary in your admission essay.

This platform has great customer service and a wide range of offers for clients, which is why it was rated high (19/25) for the overall experience and (22/25) for value for money.

As a platform, GoNerdify provided us with well-done assignments; however, it had its issues, which included vocabulary limitations and imperfect logic and reasoning.

Bringing together professionals to help students fulfill their academic needs – that’s what EduBirdie is all about. A concept that makes sense for those seeking admission essay assistance.

The papers were graded as soon as they arrived in our mailbox. The essay came up with 81.5/100 pts. In contrast, the memo to the CEO got 73.5/100 pts. Spelling and grammar were significantly higher on the first paper (100% and 87%, respectively) compared to 97% and 67% on the second. The average spelling score (98.5%) is nearly perfect, while the grammar score (77%), almost a dozen points below, proves that minor errors can be expected in such a piece as an admission essay.

As far as the structure of the tasks is concerned, the writers followed all the instructions. Nonetheless, neither of these papers came close to top grades for reasoning and logic, averaging 77%.

Yet vocabulary is by far the most considerable weakness of EduBirdie’s writers. The requested articles scored only 57.5% on average, which falls far below the acceptable minimum. Such substandard vocabulary in two different pieces provokes an understandable skepticism about the service’s ability to write a proper admission essay.

There are several things that EduBirdie has been able to demonstrate well in terms of providing a decent level of overall experience (20/25) and a value-for-money index (20/25). The scope for improvement is substantial, though, especially in the language department. According to Edubirdie reviews, if it plays its cards right in the future, the service should be able to elevate its score for writing essays and admission statements in particular.

All that said, the service did show an average result in paper quality.

The breakdown of the papers’ scores:

Paper 1:

SCORE: 83.9 out of 100 pts. Document formatting is very good, but there is room for improvement. Document formatting issues: vertical spacing; body header. |Observations:| {Integrity}: 100%. {Length}: Just a tiny bit short (99%)—try to write a bit more. {Mechanics:} 85% (spelling 100%, grammar 87%, punctuation 89%, word choice 63%). {Formatting:} ungraded. {Reasoning, logic:} 76% (efficiency 51%, acuity 78%, clarity 88%, objectivity 89%).

Paper 2:

SCORE: 64.7 out of 100 pts. Document formatting needs work. Document formatting issues: vertical spacing; horizontal spacing; reference indent; body header; page header; page breaks; bullets or lists. |Observations:| {Integrity}: 100%. {Length}: A little bit short (93%)—try to write somewhat more. {Mechanics:} 77% (spelling 97%, grammar 67%, punctuation 91%, word choice 52%). {Formatting:} 77%. Since 2009, MyAssignmentHelp has been helping students to organize and upgrade their academic careers. With a range of academic services, this platform should have no problem supporting you with your admission essay.

It’s worth mentioning that the results of our orders turned out to be somewhat controversial. The essay received 77/100 pts, and our memo to the CEO only acquired 72./100 pts. The spelling and grammar of the first work were almost excellent – 90% and 91%. As for the second assignment, spelling gained 93%, while grammar gained 75%, indicating a slight advantage in spelling.

Reasoning and logic rounded up to a similar amount – 76% and 72%, showing potential for growth. Deficiencies in the logic of the essay’s general structure contribute to the college statement’s negative evaluation. This reduces the chance of the applicant achieving the goal they are pursuing through the essay.

MyAssignmentHelp’s writers have clearly shown a significant difference in their understanding of vocabulary. On average, their submissions scored only 51%, which is a much lower standard than expected in a competent admission essay.

Monotonous language and repetitive vocabulary patterns may somewhat hinder the applicant in the admission essay. It also raises questions about his communication skills and ability to present himself to the reader professionally. Situations like this is what every respected essay writing service must avoid.

My Assignment Help became one of the leaders in the areas of overall experience (21/25) and value for money (25/25).

It’s true that papers from MyAssignmentHelp struggled with wording, logic & reasoning. However, please take into account that results may vary, and this service has its clear strengths and can deliver adequate admission essays.

FAQ

Can I pay someone to write my admission essay?

An admission essay is an essential part of your university or college journey. It’s important that you take the responsibility to complete the task yourself. However, there’s no shame in asking for some help along the way.  So, you can find some outside assistance. That’s where essay-writing platforms can step in. They have all the resources to provide you with the expertise and give you a sense of direction. You can refer to our list of top-rated services to make the right decision.

How fast can your admission essay writing services complete my essay?

It always depends on what platform you choose to work with. Some of them offer a 1-hour minimum deadline, while others start with 6 or 8. So if you need your admission essay to be written faster, look for services that allow urgent order placement. You can also pay attention to websites that complete assignments faster than the estimated due time. A lot of them were mentioned in our review – be sure to check them out!

Can I hire someone to write my college application essay?

As well as with the university admission assignment, you can get a hand with writing a college application essay. It is a rather demanding task and it’s reasonable to want it to be nearly perfect. An opinion of a specialist can help you step on the right foot with your assignment. You can turn to any of the services we mentioned in our review to connect with the right experts. They will provide you with the assistance you are looking for.

What should you not write on a college application essay?

Application papers are always important. And if you want to get into that ideal college, you need to think through the theme of your writing carefully. Some topics are better to be avoided in this situation. For example, writing about highly personal or controversial subjects is not advisable. You never know who will be reading your text, and this person may disagree with you or find your story choice unacceptable. Emphasizing personal achievements isn’t a good strategy either, as your application should already have all those things outlined beforehand. We can continue this list as there are a lot of concepts that shouldn’t be included in your admission article. However, we believe that it would be more helpful, if you don’t exactly know what you can or can’t talk about, to get an opinion and assistance from an expert. Visit some of the websites we mentioned in our list – they will know how to structure your application text better.

I’ve got a tight budget, but I don’t want to compromise on quality. EssayPro seems like a good middle ground. Anyone tried them?

Amara Singh May 21, 2023

I’m all for getting help, but remember, guys, the essay should still sound like YOU. Don’t lose your voice in the process.

Lena Schwartz May 20, 2023

I tried SpeedyPaper last year. The process was smooth, price ok and the writer was super professional. Got my essay in no time!

Grace O'Malley May 16, 2023

I’ve heard that some of these writers ask for a lot of details. Is that true? I’m a bit wary about sharing too much personal info. 🤨

Mohammed Al-Saadi May 19, 2023

They ask for details to make the essay personalized but you can always withhold any info you’re not comfortable sharing.. i guess they need it to write a better paper you know

Nina Ivanova May 13, 2023

I’m a non-native English speaker, so having a professional touch up my essay might be a good idea. Thanks for the list!

Leo Wang May 28, 2023

Same here! It’s not about being lazy; it’s about making sure my ideas come across clearly in English. These services can be a lifesaver.

Sophie Leroux May 11, 2023

EduBirdie’s vocabulary score is a bit concerning. 😕 I mean, isn’t that a basic requirement for writers?

Oscar Hernandez May 15, 2023

Right?! I was thinking the same. If they can’t get the vocabulary right, what else are they missing?

Aisha Al-Mansoori May 5, 2023

I’m worried about the order process. Is it complicated?

Jake O'Brien June 1, 2023

Nah, it’s pretty straightforward. Just make sure you give the writer all the details they need. The more info, the better the essay!

Mia Thompson May 2, 2023

Honestly, the price for EssayShark seems a bit steep, but those scores are tempting. 🤑 Anyone else feel the same?

Kenny Barton May 1, 2023

Thanks for sharing this article! It’s great to have a list of reputable services all in one place. Time to get that perfect essay!

Used Myassignmenthelp last year, and I’m not too happy with their work. I still got into college, but I think I could have done better on my own

Eesa Schultz March 16, 2023

I’m torn between EssayShark and PaperHelp 🤷‍♂️ Anyone have any experience with either of these services?

Simon Gallagher March 27, 2023

I used PaperHelp last year, and they were really reliable! My essay was well-written and helped me get into my top choice!

Safa Scott March 2, 2023

I’m surprised that 99papers didn’t make it to the list! They did a great job with my sister’s essay a few years ago. Maybe they’ve fallen out of favor?

Bronte Buckley February 16, 2023

Can’t believe there are so many options out there 😲 I wonder which one is the best?

Damien Cobb March 6, 2023

Totally agree with you! I just checked out the website for EssayPro, and they’ve got some awesome samples!

Freddy Lyons February 10, 2023

Y’all shoul strike a balance between using resources like writing services and doing your own work. At the end of the day, the essay should reflect who you are and what you’re passionate about

Michaela Benton February 5, 2023

Why bother going to college when you can just hire a professional writer to get you in? It’s not like you need an education when you have money lol

Viola Mccormick February 3, 2023

As someone who struggles with writing, I’ve found that ordering from these writers has been a game changer for me. It’s worth the investment to get the help I need. So I’m perfectly fine with such a rich choice of similar companies.

Jade Mosley January 25, 2023

As an English major, I can’t help but feel guilty using these services. But if it helps me get into my dream school, I might just have to make an exception 🤫

Isla Martinez January 23, 2023

I’ve had a great experience ordering from one of the top admission essay writing services mentioned in this article. The writer I worked with was professional and helped me get accepted to my top choice school.

Elizabeth Nunez January 18, 2023

I think it’s important to do your research before ordering from a writing service. You want to make sure you’re working with a trustworthy company that will deliver high-quality work. AHELP always does a great job, thanks.

Homer Zuniga January 11, 2023

Anyone else find it ironic that we’re using essay writing services to get into college? 😂

Hallie Daniel February 20, 2023

I see what you mean, but I’m swamped with extracurriculars and college applications, so a little help doesn’t hurt!

Iestyn Abbott January 6, 2023

This article is a great resource for anyone who needs to get their college admission essay done. I think it’s worth it to order from a professional writer if you don’t have the time or skills to do it yourself

Holly Burgess January 9, 2023

I don’t think it’s fair that some people can pay for a professional writer to do their admission essay. It gives them an unfair advantage over those who can’t afford it. I understand there are services that fit different budgets, and you can order from one of the cheaper ones but the quality may be doubtful anyway.

Euan Vaughn January 4, 2023

I’m not convinced that you need to spend money on a professional writer for your admission essay. There are plenty of free resources and writing tips available online. Take a free sample and follow it adding your information.

Darragh Knowles January 10, 2023

I think that it’s important to take the time to write your own admission essay, even if it’s not perfect. Admissions officers need to see your own writing style and personality shine through
