The essay is on the topic of the novel Their Eyes Were Watching God, and I am supposed to write an essay about how the lead character, Janie, is “ahead of her time” compared to the other women. I have all five of my main points to mention in my introduction(seven paragraphs are required) but a “conclusion” statement is also required at the end of each paragraph.

It is kind of like a closing statement that summarizes or restates the importance of what the paragraph was about. That is what they usually mean in my experience.
